Smurfit Westrock named Company of the Year by eir business and Chambers Ireland
Smurfit Westrock was unveiled as Company of the Year at the 2026 eir business Chambers Ireland Awards.
The award recognises companies that have achieved specific, measurable success in a defined category, demonstrated superior resilience, and set the benchmark for all Irish business. On the night, Smurfit Westrock also came out on top in the ‘Manufacturing of the Year’ category.
The winners from all categories were in the running for the overall ‘Company of the Year’ award. Nominees for this included Heineken, Hostelworld and Zurich Life Assurance with Smurfit Westrock ultimately winning the most prestigious award of the event.

Despite our global presence, we are proudly Irish so it is an honour to have received these accolades. Our talented team in Ireland is continuing to drive innovation in paper-based packaging and our journey is just beginning.”
Now in their 14th year, the eir business Chambers Ireland entries are judged on a range of criteria including business performance, innovation, leadership and overall impact. The event took place at the Royal Dublin Convention Centre in June.
