We strongly believe in being a part of the communities in which we are privileged to operate.
Smurfit Westrock has a deep commitment to building stronger communities where we live and work, and to create meaningful impact together. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals guide our work in this area.
In 2025, our employees have generously given their time, energy, and expertise, to empower communities by tackling inequalities, encouraging wellbeing through exercise and play, inspiring future generations with education and opportunity, and leading by example in protecting our planet for a more sustainable future.
Several of this year’s Our Open Community initiatives were supported by the Smurfit Westrock Foundation, which funds many life-changing projects particularly in the areas of poverty, children in need, health and nutrition, education and basic care.
