Injectapak® syringe package is Smurfit Westrock's response to the growth of the biosimilar and injectable space. 

Injectable medication is aseptically filled into syringes or vials and must be protected to prevent breakage, contamination or other damage. Our Injectapak® suite of packaging products can accommodate syringes or vials, and a digitally-enabled version, Cere®Injectapak, electronically tracks the removal of each syringe or vial. Packaging for syringes or vials

Three Injectapak® options offer flexibility for packaging injectable pharmaceutical products: Injectapak-S® for products delivered in syringes; Injectapak-V® for products delivered in vials; or Injectapak® Secure for delivery in either syringes or vials.

Cere®Injectapak

Digitally enabled packaging for syringes or vials

Cere®Injectapak, an innovative patient adherence packaging solution, features a tiny, hidden microprocessor and printed, conductive inks that record the date and time of each syringe or vial removed from the package.

With its advanced data tracking, Cere®Injectapak is designed to:

  • Accurately record the date and time each dose is taken
  • Help improve data quality and statistical power in clinical trials
  • Help clinicians more accurately determine actual efficacy levels
  • Quickly determine when a non-responder is actually a non-adherent subject

Clinical research has shown that providing patients with feedback on their own adherence behavior is the most impactful adherence intervention available.
