Supporting the Dublin Theatre Festival

At Smurfit Westrock, building strong connections with the communities where we operate is an integral part of what we do. In Dublin, that commitment comes to life through our new partnership with the Dublin Theatre Festival to support its 10FOR10 initiative, a programme designed to make world-class theatre accessible to more people than ever before.

Taking place from 25 September to 11 October, the Dublin Theatre Festival will once again transform the city into a vibrant stage, showcasing a rich mix of international productions alongside bold new Irish work.

Through 10FOR10, thousands of festival tickets will be available for just €10 to under 30s, unwaged individuals, freelance artists and arts workers. The initiative prioritises access, with participants offered some of the best seats in theatres across the programme, helping to remove financial barriers and create a more inclusive cultural experience.

By partnering with one of Ireland’s flagship cultural events, we are striving to widen access to the arts, encourage participation and support emerging talent alongside strengthening our relationships within the local community.

“The arts are an integral, and often under-funded, part of Irish culture,” said Ken Bowles, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Smurfit Westrock. “We are delighted to support the Dublin Theatre Festival and the 10FOR10 initiative, which will open the door for more people to experience the creativity and talent on offer this year.”

“Theatre has the power to bring us together, challenge our perspectives and help us make sense of the world around us,” added Róise Goan, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Dublin Theatre Festival. “Through 10FOR10, we’re ensuring that more people can be part of that experience, and we’re delighted to partner with Smurfit Westrock to continue growing this important initiative.”

By supporting worthwhile initiatives like this, we continue to invest in the cultural life of our communities, helping to create opportunities, inspire creativity and bring people together through shared experiences.

Applications for 10FOR10 open on 15 July, when the full 2026 Festival programme will be announced.
