Teaching Kids the 5 Rs of Sustainability in Mexico
Smurfit Westrock sponsored special exhibitions at a children’s museum in Mexico to help young learners connect with sustainability concepts. We sponsored and supported the “5R’s” exhibition at Papalote Museo del Niño at its locations in Cuernavaca and Mexico City. Donating cardboard material helped bring it to life, allowing children and families explore the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Readapt, Recycle and Reinstate.
The exhibition was an interactive experience where children and families were invited to touch, play and learn in ways that make sustainability both fun and memorable. More than 80,000 children learned more about sustainability through the experience, illustrating what’s possible when companies and community organizations join forces. The exhibit was part of a broader effort by multiple corporate sponsors to make environmental education interactive and impactful for families.
