From concept to shelf in 10 Days: eRDe’s rapid packaging launch

Polish coffee and tea distributor eRDe faced a tight deadline to launch a new brand in one of the country’s largest retail chains. Within 48 hours, the team moved from concept to approved designs, and in just 10 days the shelf-ready packaging was produced and delivered, meeting both retailer standards and customer expectations.

The Challenge

eRDe, a Polish distributor of coffee and tea, needed a fast turnaround on a new shelf-ready packaging solution for an upcoming coffee brand set to launch in one of the country’s largest retail chains. The biggest challenge was meeting the tight deadline while ensuring full compliance with the retailer’s strict requirements.

The Approach

Given the tight turnaround, the best approach was to leverage our Design2Market team, who met with the client the same day the inquiry was received to review all requirements. Within 24 hours, three distinct packaging proposals were developed and presented. Once a design was selected, it moved immediately into production.

The Result

Thanks to Smurfit Westrock’s Design2Market Sprint process, we quickly developed a complete corrugated packaging solution—from concept to completion—in just 10 days, meeting both the client’s brief and the retailer’s specifications. We then produced and delivered the full batch of shelf-ready packaging for the new Caffè Marco Verrazzano brand.
