The Challenge

Jeka Fish set out to reduce its reliance on EPS packaging by introducing a paper‑based alternative for selected products. For its lightly salted cod in 11 kg and 25 kg formats, the packaging needed to perform under demanding conditions. The boxes are stored frozen for up to 1.5 years, exposed to moisture and water, and transported across large parts of Europe. At the same time, Jeka Fish required a solution that not only protected the product but also offered stronger branding opportunities than traditional EPS packaging.
