Innovative packaging machinery for Coca-Cola European Partners’ flagship energy drink line

How we partnered with Coca-Cola European Partners’ Australia to deliver high-speed, innovative packaging machinery for their new flagship energy drinks line.

In early 2023, Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) chose us to supply two major machinery installations for their largest Australian site, part of a $100 million investment. We delivered a DS1250 with a robotic autoloader and a CP Ultimate HF for a new flagship energy drinks line—the first of its kind in CCEP’s Australian network. More than an equipment supplier, we acted as a hands-on partner, combining engineering expertise, local service, and global collaboration to create a high-performance, future-ready solution.

The Challenge

CCEP’s new energy drinks line needed fast, reliable, and efficient machinery. The project also faced shifting production volumes, complex pallet setups, varied shippers, and tight deadlines. Few competitors had the broad, hands-on experience and deep insights we had from previous CCEP installations in Europe, giving us a clear edge. Still, winning the project meant proving technical skill, building strong local and global collaboration, and delivering a level of responsiveness CCEP had not experienced before.

The Approach

We proposed the DS1250 with robotic autoloader and CP Ultimate HF for high speed and flexibility. Working with Madern Automation, we upgraded the autoloader to cut downtime, improve ergonomics, and increase throughput. We assigned a dedicated account engineer for rapid, on-the-ground support, while coordinating closely with CCEP’s local and overseas teams. Our collaborative, adaptable approach helped manage technical challenges, evolving requirements, and tight timelines, positioning us as a long-term partner, not just a vendor.

The Result

The installation was completed on time despite logistical and technical challenges. The upgraded autoloader reduced downtime, minimized manual handling, and boosted efficiency. Our North Richmond team—across design, engineering, technical, and plant functions—met CCEP’s needs even with fluctuating volumes. The line is now CCEP Australia’s flagship, setting new benchmarks for speed and reliability. This success strengthened our relationship with CCEP and demonstrated the value of combining advanced packaging technology with strong local support and global experience.
