Developing new shelf-ready packaging for Nestlé to improve handling efficiency.

Cereal Partners Poland (CPP) Toruń-Pacific Sp. z o.o., the manufacturer of Nestlé breakfast cereals, approached us to help improve its shelf ready packaging. The existing solution relied on a time-consuming, manual assembly process, creating additional demands for packaging teams. During restocking, packaging components were also prone to damage, affecting the overall appearance and quality of product displays in stores. The challenge was to develop a solution that could simplify assembly while better withstanding the demands of the retail environment.

Our team of designers worked closely with CPP packaging specialists to review the existing solution and understand the challenges faced by both users and production teams. Together, we developed a new packaging design that makes assembly faster and easier. With the redesigned solution, all packaging elements can be formed at the same time with one simple movement, making the process more intuitive and reducing manual handling.

The new packaging made the assembly process easier and more efficient for packaging teams, improving ergonomics and reducing the number of man-hours needed. With fewer manual steps, there was also less risk of errors during the assembly process. The stronger, more durable design was better able to withstand damage during restocking, helping maintain the quality and appearance of product displays in stores.
